The AIDs Vaccine Conference 2011 held at the Centara Grand & bangkok Convention Centre at Central World, the opening ceremony presided over by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn on September 13, 2011. This is the first time that the annual AIDS Vaccine conference has been held in Asia. Hosted by the Global HIV Vaccine Enterprise (http://www.vaccineenterprise.org/) under leading of Dr. Jose Esparza, senior advisor on HIV vaccines for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and interim board president of the Global HIV Vaccine Enterprise, in cooperation with Mahidol University and the Ministry of Public Health, Thailand.

 

The Conference Chair was Dr. Pratap Singhasivanon of Mahidol University. Conference Co-chairs were Dr. Punee Pitisuttithum of Mahidol University and Dr. Manit Teeratantikanont of the Ministry of Public Health, Thailand.
